Parmigiano Reggiano PDO and Mountain Cheeses Since 1939

 

The "Il Battistero" dairy cooperative has been producing the traditional Parmigiano Reggiano PDO exclusively with milk from the Val Ceno and Val Pessola since 1939.

Located just a few steps from the ancient Baptistery of Serravalle, from which it takes its name, the dairy offers guided tours, workshops, and tastings to share the knowledge and flavour encapsulated in every wheel of cheese.

 

Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, along with fresh and aged stretched-curd cheeses, sweets, and other specialties crafted in-house, can be purchased at the shop in Serravalle or at local farmers' markets.

 

Il Battistero also makes its products available online. Through the farm's website, an e-shop allows anyone to savour the quality of mountain cheeses from wherever they are.
